Garly Sojo brilló, pero no evitó la caída de Quimsa en la BCLA
Los venezolanos Garly Sojo y Carlos Milano sufrieron sendas palizas con sus equipos, Quimsa (Argentina) y Universidad de Concepción (Chile), respectivamente, en la continuación de la Liga de Campeones de América de básquet.
En su estreno en el torneo de clubes más importante del continente, Sojo figuró con 15 puntos, dos rebotes, tres asistencias, dos bloqueos y una recuperación, en la derrota 95-73 de Quimsa ante San Pablo (Brasil), ocurrida en Brasil y por el Grupo B.
Los locales, que ya habían asegurado el primer lugar de la llave y su clasificación, ampliaron su invicto en cinco choques.
Los argentinos quedaron con marca de 1-4 y definirán mañana contra Nacional de Montevideo (1-3) el otro clasificado del grupo.
Por los charrúas debutará el también venezolano José Bracho.
Milano sin opciones
Ante su público, Universidad de Concepción fue apaleada 92-49 por Flamengo (Brasil), actual monarca de la cita.
El Campanil, que llegó a la tercera ventana de la justa americana sin opciones clasificatorias, quedó con registro de 0-5 en el Grupo D.
Por los universitarios, el pivot venezolano Carlos Milano anotó un punto, bajó dos rebotes y se robó tres pelotas.
Con todo definido, Universidad de Concepción intentará cerrar su participación con un triunfo, frente a su afición, el domingo ante Boca Juniors (Argentina).
