El venezolano Garly Sojo le ganó el duelo a su compatriota José Bracho y Quimsa (Argentina) clasificó a la siguiente ronda de la Liga de Campeones de América, tras superar 95-72 a Nacional de Montevideo (Uruguay).
Antes de esta tercera ventana del torneo de clubes de básquet más importante del continente, Sao Paulo ya estaba clasificado y el segundo del Grupo B se definía entre argentinos y uruguayos.
Bracho debutó
Davaunt Thomas con 17 puntos y cuatro asistencias, y Eric Anderson con 16 contables y 11 rebotes, fueron los protagonistas de la clasificación de Quimsa.
Pese a que no anotó puntos, Sojo aportó cinco rebotes, una asistencia y un bloqueo para la victoria.
Por Nacional, Dominique Morrison fue el más destacado con 23 puntos y cinco rebotes, y Bracho, en su debut en la cita, figuró con tres unidades y una captura.
