Broncos luchó para imponerse ante Cangrejeros
En la jornada dominical de la Copa Superliga, Cangrejeros de Monagas y Broncos de Caracas protagonizaron un emocionante compromiso en la isla de Margarita. La victoria se fue para el lado capitalino con pizarra 68-62 y así estrenan el renglón de triunfos en el actual torneo.

Lucha desde el salto inicial
Ambos equipos llegaban sin haber conseguido una victoria en el certamen y el objetivo era revertir esos resultados adversos.
Con un ritmo ofensivo bastante agresivo de parte y parte transcurrieron los primeros diez minutos, sin ningún quinteto cediendo. El final del primer tramo fue bastante apretado, siendo favorable 19-18 para Monagas.
En el siguiente cuarto, siguió el mismo ritmo, un toma y dame en ambos lados de la cancha. Por momentos, la tropa que comanda Jorge Arrieta buscaba irse arriba, pero no la tuvieron fácil. Casi al final del primer tiempo, el cuadro caraqueño sacó una ligera ventaja, que antes de la chicharra fue superada por Cangrejeros desde la línea de tiros libres y así irse ganando 35-34.
En los últimos segundos antes del descanso, el joven Daniel Bastardo entró a cancha por los monaguenses en lo que se traduce a su estreno profesional en el baloncesto con 17 años.
Se resuelve disparidad
Para el comienzo de la segunda parte del juego, la estampida impuso su ritmo de juego con transiciones rápidas y comenzó a sacar ventaja en el marcador.
El capitán caraqueño Héctor Díaz y Oswar Blanco lideraron las reacciones de su equipo que pasó adelante en el cruce con total 45-56.
Candado final
Cangrejeros no daba todo perdido y en el último periodo comenzó a descontar el resultado, pero Caracas no dejaría escapar este triunfo y pusieron su sentencia definitiva con resultado 68-62 y poder saborear las mieles de su primer lauro. Ahora quedan con récord 1-2, mientras los “crustáceos” siguen sin celebrar (0-3).
Jugadores destacados
Héctor “Mickey” Díaz fue clave en el despegue caraqueño y totalizó 20 puntos, 4 rebotes y 4 asistencias y se llevó el premio al MVP del partido. Fue secundado por Oswar Blanco con 14 unidades y 3 rebotes
Por su parte, Jorge Rodríguez finalizó la noche con gran actuación de 21 tantos, 8 tableros y 3 robos de balón. Amos Acosta aportó por Cangrejeros 11 contables.
